When Savannah College of Art and Design set out to modernize windows and entryways across three buildings on Louisville Road, they turned to Coastal Canvas Products for a solution built to match the scale of the project. Our team designed, fabricated, and installed more than 80 custom retractable window awnings featuring our signature Coastal Halo system, paired with complementary entryway awnings to unify the look across all three buildings. Every awning was built on a durable 1 inch square aluminum frame, powder-coated for lasting protection, and finished in premium Sunbrella fabric with a clean 6 inch valance, widths custom fit to each opening from 5 feet up to 18 feet across. Backed by engineered, stamped drawings to meet the university's project requirements, this large scale installation brought cohesive shade, comfort, and a refined coastal presence to one of Savannah's most visible academic campuses.

At The Landings' Palmetto Club, Coastal Canvas Products was brought in to design and build a brand new porte cochere awning for the community's front entrance, creating a grand, protective arrival for guests. The structure pairs a bold pyramid design, supported by columns, with a gable end that connects directly to the building and intersects seamlessly with the pyramid above. Built on a solid 2 inch square aluminum frame with reinforced support beams and finished in a striking white powder coat, the structure is wrapped in premium PARA fabric in rich indigo. The scope also included a full recover of the club's existing ballroom entrance awning, refreshed in fresh Sunbrella fabric to keep the ballroom entrance looking just as sharp. From start to finish, our team handled every detail, delivering landmark entryways built to stand up to coastal weather for years to come.
Brunswick, GA
St. Mark's Episcopal Church and Day School needed a durable, cohesive shade solution to protect its playground, rear church entry, and Day School windows and doors. Coastal Canvas Products installed seven traditional fixed awnings with brand new custom canvas covers, sized to fit each opening. A dedicated playground shade cover was also added to keep outdoor play areas comfortable throughout the day. Every awning and shade cover was finished in Sunbrella marine-grade canvas in vibrant Pacific Blue, backed by a 10 year warranty for lasting color and durability in South Georgia's coastal climate.

This massive commercial building needed a cohesive awning solution to elevate its street presence along two of downtown Savannah's most prominent corridors, Broughton and Bull Street. Coastal Canvas Products furnished and installed eleven custom aluminum-frame fabric awnings sized to fit each storefront, and a signature corner awning uniting the Broughton and Bull Street intersection. Each awning features a 16'-6" drop and 6'-0" projection, built on a durable 1-inch aluminum frame powder-coated in a dark bronze finish, with a removable staple-stitch frame ceiling for easy maintenance. The ceilings were finished with framing engineered to accommodate integrated lighting, introducing a clean, refined presence into the current iconic streetscape.

When Savannah's newest live music hotspot need custom signage, they came to Coastal Canvas Products for an entrance that would stop foot traffic in its tracks. Our team designed a custom illuminated marquee and matching side panels that channel the warmth and character of a vintage music hall while standing up to Savannah's demanding coastal climate. From there, we brought the concept to life with 3D routed letters for crisp, high-definition dimension, a powder-coated metal cabinet finished with elegant curves, and a solid steel frame engineered to support the full weight of the sign through every season. Fabricated and finished in-house, this trendy yet timeless facade was installed at Nickel & Oak Lounge.
Bluffton, sc
This popular Bluffton restaurant needed a way to make its front patio comfortable and inviting in any weather, without sacrificing the open-air charm that guests love. Coastal Canvas Products installed five new Progressive solar screens, custom sized to perfectly fit the patio's unique dimensions. The motorized screens are controlled by a single remote, giving Frankie Bones a versatile, comfortable patio space that can be opened up or closed down with the touch of a button, rain or shine.

This project at the historic Manger Building in downtown Savannah, GA focused on small details and honoring the landmark's character. The work required five custom aluminum awnings; after final design approvals, we laser-templated the site, fabricated each frame, and fine-tuned the fit during installation. By integrating new awnings with the traditional façade, this project helped restore the historic charm as it transitions back to life as a hotel.
